Committees are where the progress of the Association begins! Committee service offers members an opportunity to advance their own knowledge and skills while adding significantly to the efficiency of the Association. Volunteering does entail responsibility, attendance at called meetings, and sharing of work for a better Association of REALTORS®! Every effort will be made to place you on the committee(s) of your choice.
Professional Education Committee – Arrange and promote educational programs to be presented to membership. Select person to utilize funds budgeted or raised for educational purposes – primarily real estate education. Staff Liaison: Samantha Hicks Time commitment: 9:00 am 2nd Thursday monthly
Hospitality Committee – Design, plan and conduct social functions for the Members and Affiliates. Staff Liaison: Samantha Hicks Time Commitment: 3:30 pm 2nd Tuesday monthly
Community Outreach Committee – Strives to provide services that enhance the community and support the overall quality of life for our community. We do this by providing opportunities to assist our community through various charitable organizations. Staff Liaison: Heather Tenney Time Commitment: Bimonthly meetings (As needed)
Legislative Committee – Establish programs to keep members informed of political activities at local, state and national government which affect the real estate industry. Study state and national legislative programs, recommend policy and action to our Board of Directors. Respond to NAR’s “Call to Action” requests. Sponsor the Annual Legislative Pig Pickin’. Staff Liaison: Steven Neeves Time Commitment: 9:00 am 1st Wednesday monthly
REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) – To promote awareness and collect funds for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee to be used in support of candidates who, by their voting record or philosophy, display a positive attitude toward the real estate industry. Staff Liaison: Steven Neeves Time Commitment: 10:00 am 1st Wednesday monthly
Communications Committee – Study ways to better communicate with our members and the community at large through social media and other technologies. Build the public image of the Association through media coverage, news releases and advertising. Staff Liaison: Lisa Verkuilen Time Commitment: As Needed
