FAQs) How do I become a member of CCAR?
Answers) To become a member of CCAR please and complete the membership application. Then, bring your completed application and your real estate license to the CCAR office Monday through Thursday anytime between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for a brief new member orientation with one of our member service coordinators. Please reserve at least 25 minutes for the orientation. Please note, you must apply to CCAR within 7 days of receiving your real estate license.

Q) What is the CCAR Webinar Series?
A) The CCAR Webinar Series offers you the convenience of attending class from any remote computer screen or tablet, at home or at the office. The Webinar Series covers a broad range of topics. Please view the upcoming calendar of classes.
Q) I want to attend a class but it doesn’t work with my schedule.
A) Please visit the training library for class recordings and speaker presentations to review at your leisure.
Q) What continuing education is required to renew my license this year?
A)CE Renewal Requirements:
Real estate agents are required to complete 8 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Each agent much complete 4 hours of core credit and 4 hours of elective credit to renew your real estate license. Look at your pocket card to see when your license will expire.
Every agent needs 8 hours of CE if their license is being renewed by June 30, 2015. The core class is called Professional Expectations and Obligations, and is 4 hours. Every agent MUST take that class. Then you can choose from the any elective classes that are available to you.
Then they can choose a 4 hour elective of the many available to them.
Only education classes taken after July 1st of 2013 will count toward this renewal cycle.

Q) When does a Primary photo have to be in the listing?
A) A primary photo must accompany a listing when entered into the MLS on all classes with the exception of Land or Commercial/Industrial property class.
Q) Do tax map #’s need to be formatted?
A) All Horry and Georgetown county tax map #’s do have to be formatted in order to access through REIS.
Q) Does CCAR distribute member email addresses?
A) CCAR does not distribute member emails addresses to members, businesses or the public. Mass emails sent between agents or offices is not within the control of CCAR.
Q) Does the Status of a listing have to be changed to Pending if the Seller is taking backup offers?
A) The Status does have to be changed to Pending. In the Agent to Agent remarks you can indicate the Seller is taking backup offers.
Q) Do you have to disclose if the Listing Agent is or related to the Seller?
A) Yes, you have to disclose this information in the Public Remarks.
