Image Award Recipient REALTOR® Staci Smith with Century 21 Broadhurst
Staci was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up in Lake Park, North Carolina. She received an Associate’s degree in Art at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte NC. While in college she owned and operated a local flower shop. After college she sold life insurance and investments with New York Life for six years while raising her daughter. When her daughter was still in elementary school, they moved to Florida and this recipient worked with Wells Fargo for four years and then put her career “on hold” to care for her Mother-In-Law who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. While caring for her mother-in-law she managed a thrift store called Green Isle which funded a local boys’ home. In 2004 she and her daughter, moved to the Myrtle Beach area to be closer to family and she began working in the real estate industry and in 2005 she obtained her real estate license. She has been working with her current brokerage for 4 years and has received the Masters Ruby Producer and the Quality Service Pinnacle Award.
Staci is a 2017 graduate of Leadership CCAR and has received her Relocation Specialist Certification and is currently working on her GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute). This Image Award Recipient has been very active as a volunteer with CCAR. She has served on the Community Outreach Committee since 2015 and is currently Chair Elect. In 2017, she served as CCAR’s Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Coordinator and because of these volunteer efforts, a family in Conway was able to move into their new home this past December. This year, she is co-chairing a new committee called the Housing Opportunity Committee where she will focus on fundraising for CCAR’s Habitat builds. In years past she helped raise funds for Habitat by participating in their Annual Bed Race. In 2017 she helped the Community Outreach Committee paint the interior of the new location for the Boys and Girls Club.
In her community, this recipient has participated in the Ground Zero Dragon Boat Festival for the past several years which benefits local teens. She has also served as a youth group leader and a girl scout troop leader. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, photography, flying drones, and spending time with family and friends.
