FAQs) How do I become a member of CCAR?
Answers) To become a member of CCAR please and complete the membership application. Then, bring your completed application and your real estate license to the CCAR office Monday through Thursday anytime between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for a brief new member orientation with one of our member service coordinators. Please reserve at least 25 minutes for the orientation. Please note, you must apply to CCAR within 7 days of receiving your real estate license.

- Free attendance at Membership meetings and conferences each year

EDUCATION:
Q) Does the class cost money for me to attend?
A) CCAR offers an abundance of free educational opportunities such as Webinars, Tech Tuesday, REALTOR Road Map to Success, Real Tools and MLS Training.
Q) I want to attend a class but it doesn’t work with my schedule.
A) Please visit CCARTV for class recordings and speaker presentations to review at your leisure.
Q) What continuing education is required to renew my license this year?
A) CE Renewal Requirements:
Every agent needs 10 hours of CE if their license is being renewed by September 30, 2020. The core class “3 P’s of Professionalism” is a 4 hour required course. Every agent MUST complete the 3 P’s of Professionalism course. After, agents may choose from the many elective classes that are available to total 6 hour elective credit to complete their 10 hour requirements. Only education classes taken after July 1st, 2018 count toward this renewal cycle.
What real estate schools and course providers are approved to offer continuing education?

MLS:
Q) When does a Primary photo have to be in the listing?
A) A primary photo must accompany a listing when entered into the MLS on all classes with the exception of Land or Commercial/Industrial property class.
Q) Do tax map #’s need to be formatted?
A) All Horry and Georgetown county tax map #’s do have to be formatted in order to access through REIS.
Q) Does CCAR distribute member email addresses?
A) CCAR does not distribute member emails addresses to members, businesses or the public. Mass emails sent between agents or offices is not within the control of CCAR.
Q) Does the Status of a listing have to be changed to Pending if the Seller is taking backup offers?
A) The Status does have to be changed to Pending. In the Agent to Agent remarks you can indicate the Seller is taking backup offers.
Q) Do you have to disclose if the Listing Agent is or related to the Seller?
A) Yes, you have to disclose this information in the Public Remarks.
